'Suppi' features in Carnival of the Animals

This concert features one of Nigeria's brightest and fluid virtuoso pianists, Shola Babafemi and MUSON's young and promising student, Opeyemi Afolabi and MUSON Symphony Orchestra in Camille Saint Saens' 'Carnival of the Animals', conducted by an outstanding Cellist and MUSON's Visiting Conductor, Walter Michael-Vollhardt from Germany. Other works to be performed by this amazing crew include Brahms' Hungarian Dances and Schubert's Unfinished Symphony....

Children's Festival - Coulurful Dance by Linda Anumba


Linda Nwanneka Anumba is a stunning and distinguished performing artiste. She is well known for her current involvement with maiden edition of the Voice, Nigeria #teampatoranking. She played a very critical role in the production of Saro, the Musical & Wakaa, the Musical under the BAP Productions. She has also supported MUSON several times with her skill especially in the area of dance. This time around, at the Children's Festival, she performed "Part of that World" from Little Mermaid. The view, turns, the spins, the choreography, everything was incredible.

Using this medium, we say a big thank you to all our parents, the schools, the Lagos State Government, Humble Bee Studios (Adeniran), The Comic Republic, Ajapa World, Linda Anumba, The Reading Corner, Turtle Taido, Super Strikas, MusicMakers, Raphiano Concepts, Penthouse Family Studios, the MUSON Management and everyone that attended and participated. The Children's Festival, a Good Start of Something New

It's been a long long time since we had this much fun with children in MUSON. It was not a competition, there was no prize to be won, they all just wanted to have good fun.... it was incredibly fantastic.They had more than enough time to express themselves. it was a maiden edition and it came out great.

Memories from the Pre-Valentine Concert



MTN Foundation MUSON Alumni thrill guests with top-notch Performances at Valentine Concert


P11It was a night of pomp, pageantry and excellent display of musicianship by the alumni of the MTN Foundation MUSON School of Music diploma. The concert, which was held at the Shell Hall of MUSON Centre in Lagos on Friday, February 12, 2016, featured over 20 diverse musicals, part of which was the rendition of Beyonce’s “If I were a Boy” and “Bamidele” by Asa. The concert set the ambience for the season of love and left guests at the concert asking for more.
There was also a surprise performance by two MTN ambassadors – Cobhams Asuquo and Banky W. Cobhams wowed the audience with two beautiful songs he titled, “Ugly Bug Love”, and “New Beginning”, and his version of “All of You” by John Legend, while the music connoisseur and R&B King, Banky W performed his popular song “Yes/No”.

Come Friday, February 12, 2016, love will once again be in the air at the Shell Hall of Muson Centre, Onikan as the alumni (beneficiaries) of the MTN Foundation music scholarship programme will hold its annual Valentine concert.

Music scholars who have benefited from the MTN Foundation sponsoredMUSON Scholars Programme, under the aegis of MUSON Alumni, annually organise a valentine celebration with a concert, at the Shell Hall, Onikan.

MUSON School represents Nigeria in the UK and Malta

In September 2015, the British Council/UK in collaboration with Roundhouse an art/music organisation to bring about a four-day master class that very well imparted students of the MUSON School, both the Basic and the Diploma Schools. Musicians outside MUSON also benefitted from the programme. Vidal Montgomery and Wayne Francis II (Bass and Saxophone) were the front-liners in this workshop.

By the end of the week, the guest instructors and the students gave a two-hour concert. They also announced a slot for three students that would represent the country at the Roundhouse Concert in the

MUSON Represents @ Lorenzo by Sujimoto

Sujimoto Construction Company, our regular client had this product/project launch coming in December and they wanted some orchestra and live music for the evening.  The MUSON Combo (an instrumental fusion) was booked to serenade their very distinguished audience, i mean, very distinguished guests including the Commissioner for Works and Housing, Sunny Irabor and his beautiful wife, Actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, to mention a few. The company was launching a new and unique first class product - a 25-storey fully automated residential estate. This estate will be situated along the popular Bourdillon in Ikoyi, the Lagos downtown.
