Imoleayo is a renowned and international Lagos based Jazz Saxophonist, Vocalist concert performer, Composer, Arranger, Musicologist and Music Educator.
He studied music at the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) and the University of Education WINNEBA, Ghana.
His musical certification include Muson Grade 8 theory of Music, Trinity Guildhall London Grade 8 theory of Music and Associated Board of Royal school of Music (ABRSM) Grade 8 theory of Music, Muson Grade 8, ABRSM Grade 8 and DipABRSM, all in saxophone playing. He studied saxophone techniques with Peter King at Peter King College of Music and Lt. (RTD) Abayomi Odujobi at the Musical Society of Nigeria.

Diversification has always been a focus for Imoleayo Balogun. Aside from being an Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophonist, Imoleayo also plays the flute, clarinet and trumpet. Imoleayo has been playing the saxophone professionally for almost two decades and he has performed at various Jazz Festivals around the world, including; Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and USA. As a distinguished performing and recording artist, he recorded and also performed with MUSON Symphony Orchestra, Laku Coker, Alhaji Kolington Ayinla, Biodun Batik, Yinka Davies, Roy AfroBeat, 5yz Men, Steve Rhodes Orchestra, D’banj, Nerrak Peterson, Ayo Bankole Jnr., Segun Obey, Lanre Teriba, ELjazz, Yinusa Akinnibosun (Baba Y.S.), Cobhams Asuquo etc.
